American Idol Cast down to Sweet 16
There were no big surprises in the cuts from 20, down to 16 contestants.
In fact, when the four singers leaving the show reprised their performances from Tuesday and Wednesday, it made me wonder how they made it as far as they did. Decisions will get tougher, but not just yet.
Danny Gokey performance highlighted the broadcast
Those going home after this week’s competition are:
- John Park
- Jermaine Sellers
- Haeley Vaughn
- Michelle Delamor
The highlight of the broadcast was the live performance by American Idol alumnus, Danny Gokey.
After singing his song, an ebullient Gokey gushed about his upcoming tour and referenced encouragement from Randy Travis about pursing a country sound.
