In related American Idol news, I have heard from former “tribe members” from Hair that several Idol cast offs have been hired for the Broadway production while Jim Rado is pulling the London show together for it’s big Friday night opening. If that is true, then, ouch, I am sorry but, I don’t recall anyone being good enough to be on Broadway. Even a “tribe member” in Hair has to do solo’s.

Ruben Studdard gave a strong performance to open the show Wednesday night. He has grown and is polished and sounds great. He lost considerable weight and is very happy. New single and tour with Clay Aiken.

I feel like we are just passing time until the final ones left standing are Crystal, Casey, Siobhan, Mike, and perhaps, Lee.

I predict this group will suffer low sales on the tour this summer. I also wonder if it will hurt the ratings next year. Simon the mean one, but the one who is right a lot of the time, is leaving. Ellen, the useless one is staying. We have no idea who will replace Simon.

I’ll be tuning into The X Factor, after watching clips and performances from the UK show, on You Tube, I’m already a big fan. I think that there is another four years left on the contract for the judges and Ryan, so, the show Will stay, I just think the ratings will go down.

Usher performed a production number with dancers and  Will.I.Am, the vocals really suffer when they do so much dancing.The best part of the number was watching Usher move. The number itself was nothing.

Katie is the first in the bottom three. No surprise there.What amazes me is the mediocrity that people accept as great. A lot of these people do not belong on this show. Didi joins her on the bottom. No surprise. Tim joined the bottom, and they sent Katie back to safety! Well, just a matter of time, unless she really improves, quickly.

I had to mute Diddy‘s performance, just couldn’t handle the rap.

The final vote , Didi will sing for her save. I do not think they will  save her. Tim is safe, for now. As I told you: the cute factor. Millions of little girls are voting for him.  She sang Fleetwood Mac, Not good enough, they did not save her.

Well, another week, and I survived the show.  Let’s see what next week brings?
