The only good thing about American Idol tonight is Harry Connick Jr.. Can’t wait for him. The opening number is usually pre-recorded and pretty good, but once in awhile, thought, hmm, this must be live because it was out of tune?
Harry Connick didn’t just mentor the week, he arranged every song himself, and led the band while playing piano and organ.
Someone asked me today about who will be cut on tonight’s American Idol. I said, “Does it matter, they all go and one is left standing. Sometimes it’s better not to win.”
My favorite part of the show was hearing these great songs, written by Shania Twain. Wish they had done them when there were 12 contestants left, and we could have heard more of them.
Wednesday night was a special show with guest stars for the annual “Idol Gives Back” show. With a forgettable performance by Black Eyed Peas, Idol was off to a weak start.
Casey James started the night sounding like he always does. He really is just very consistent. OMG, Ellen was right. I think she is getting it. All the judges ageed, and I agree also.
