This Business of “Show” is very difficult. I know, remember. I was dropped by a label at age 14. I didn’t give up. It was not the end of the world. I spent my entire life singing. You may not have bought my records, but I was out there, entertaining and dancing for all the people who were there to be entertained.

I have worked on and off with Rob Works for years.

He is a natural, has appeared in many musical productions. Recently, I sent him to the brilliant pianist Billy Taggessor. The result iss breathtaking.

I have been working with Jessica for 3 years, She came to me as a soprano, had made a CD of Italian and Spanish Josh Groban-type tunes.

It started out with a party for my dear fellow vocal coach, Ronni Fabre. Ronni is a singer I have known and admired for… welll… more-than-a-few years. She walked over to me with this man on her arm and said, “You two MUST meet.”

When Michael Selinsky wrote me via Facebook, about being inducted into the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I was very excited. Not only would I see my band-mates again, but we would play, together again, on stage.

My biggest sorrow about my guy Cee Lo is when he choose cute over talent. He chose Sisters Tori and Taylor, over Kelsey. The song, “Unwritten”. Kelsey knocked it out of the park.

I now realize how you can really think someone has a good voice, at first, and then, the more you listen, the more you hear, and the more you can change your mind. I had some early favorites who are still my favorites.

This is the first elimination night. This is what makes this show a “TV” show. Suspense, and people you really like, go home! They compete in a boxing ring… really great idea.
